About
I am a 60 year old retired business man that enjoys golf and cycling.
Since my retirement from Verizon Communications in 2003 I have been active in mission work for the Central Pennsylvania Conference United Methodist Church. Through mission work I have traveled to Peru, Bolivia, Uruguay and three visits to Sierra Leone. I help coordinate mission trips and also am involved in the promoting volunteerism in missions for projects in the local communities as well as in the United States and around the world.
Right now I am concentrating on getting in shape for the 3,629 mile bicycle trip across the United States.
Please visit the site regularly as I update it on my latest adventure quest. You can also follow latest, breaking information on Facebook.

Jay is having another GREAT summer in Yellowstone! Best of luck on your ride & please keep the road rash 2 a minimum! Looks like ya got a great set of wheels 2 make this trip with!
All the VERY best,
SPOOK & Brenda McFillen

Thank you for the encouraging words and support. You just helped protect 5 families in Sierra Leone from the spread of Malaria. Unfortunately we will be north of Colorado; Idaho to WYoming to S. Dakota.
Enjoy the RV trips. Jay and Sandi talks about the forays to Mexico often. He’s a great brother and really enjoying his life in the “wilds” of America.
I hope we can meet sometime.
